Q: Do you have a Smitten Shop?
A: At this stage alas we do not have a store, however you can shop till your hearts content at our online shop or at our favourite markets.
Q: Where is Smitten located?
A: Smitten is an Australian owned business operating from Sydney, Australia.
Q: How long will my item take to ship to me?
A: Smitten uses Temando for its deliveries within Australia. Shipping is capped at $10 for all packages weighing less than 3kg. Packages usually arrive within a few days, however if you are located in a remote area they could take a little bit longer. Australia Post is used for International orders only. Q: Do you accept refunds or exchanges?
A: Check out our Customer Service page, which has detailed information on our policies.
Q: Do you accept overseas orders?
A: Yes, we can now accept overseas orders! International orders are shipped via Australia Post. At this time we cannot accept overseas orders weighing over 20kg through our website, so if you have a large scale overseas order please contact us
Q: Will your Signature Smitten Apron fit me?
A: We make our signature aprons to fit most women. If you are petite the apron will simply wrap around you for more coverage. If you would like to request more information on sizing or perhaps a custom apron contact us here!
Q: How do I order and pay?
A: Once you have selected the fabulous items you wish to purchase, place the item(s) into the shopping cart and select the quantity you desire. This will then commence the checkout process. Please be sure to follow the prompts, which will ask you for shipping and payment information. If you are stuck or need help please contact us and we'll help you out toot-sweet! Online shopping can be daunting at first but will change your life!
We accept all major credit cards via E-Way as well as Pay Pal. We can also process orders over the phone & mail, however note we require extra security measures for orders for which the cardholder is not present. This is to protect both the customer and our business from fraudulent activity.
Once payment has been accepted and processed you will receive an email from Smitten confirming your order, shipping and payment information.
Shipping costs will be automatically calculated during the check out process.
Q: Who writes Bake Escape and can I send products to be considered for inclusion in Bake Escape?
A: Smitten's Director, Peita, writes Bake Escape. Peita loves to receive products for Bake Escape (heck, who doesn't like free stuff!) but check out the Advertising, Publicity and Promotions page for further details.
Q: How do I sign up to receive Bake Escape?
A: You can elect to receive Bake Escape via RSS, which means that each time Peita updates the blog you receive an email.
Q: Can I comment on the Bake Escape blog?
A: Yes, we implore you to comment! Just keep in mind that if you post anything that would be considered rude at a dinner party we'll delete it as quickly as we polish off a batch of chocolate chip cookies!
Q: Do you wholesale?
A: Yes, we do wholesale Smitten Scents. You will need to sign up for a password to access our wholesale section.
Q: Do you do fundraising?
A: Yes indeedy! We love to help our local community and are always on the lookout for worthy causes to work with. Check out our Fundraising Page, which talks about Smitten Samaritan! We hope to hear from you soon!
Q: What are your candles made from?
A: We use only the finest soy waxes, 100% cotton wicks and the highest grade of fragrance oils in the industry.
Q: How can I achieve the best burn from my Smitten Scents products?

Q: Do Smitten Scents candles actually smell? I've been burned (excuse the pun) by bad candles!
A: YES YES YES! Our candles are super-strong! But don't take our word for it! Read our customer testimonials here! Once you try our super-strength Smitten Scents, you'll never settle for candles that don't live up to their smelly promise!
Q: The wax in my Smitten Scents candle looks a different colour to the wax colour the last time I ordered? Why is this when it is the same scent?
A: As Smitten Scents are hand-poured there will be a colour variation from candle to candle as it is impossibe to match exact colours. Rest assured the scent will be just as intoxicating!
Q: Will I get black soot on my Smitten Scents jar?
A: Our candles are made from soy and shouldn't provide particularly sooty burns. However, as with all combustion it is impossible not to have some residue.
If you do get a bit of black residue: Check that your wick is not too close to the jar (burning the glass) and also make sure you are not burning the candle in a draft. Wipe the residue off with a damp rag. See more candle burning tips here.
Q: My candle has burned for a lot longer than the burn time listed on the label?
A: As we way underestimated our fabulous burn times on our first batch, our OLD labels list incorrect burn times. The correct burn times are: Small Mason: 50 hours, Large Mason: 80 hours, Medium Apothecary: 80 hours, Large Apothecary: 120 hours, Smelts: 20 hours. Please disregard your labels and rest assured these burn times are accurate. Our apologies for the confusion.
Q: Do you still host Smitten Soirees (Baby Showers, Kitchen Teas, Hens Nights etc)?
A: Yes, we do! Contact us with the specifics of your event and we will reply with a custom proposal to suit your shindig toot-sweet! We can provide food, flowers, pretty crockery, Smitten Scents ambiance and wonderful service so you can just relax and enjoy yourself!
